How To Change Financial Year | Company Financial Year | Company Date | Reporting Period

Financial year is the date on which you start your company books. It is 1st April for Indian businesses.

You can easily enter financial year while creating your company. In 'Financial Year From' field, select the date on which you start your accounts.

If you have already created a company and you want to change the financial year you can do so under:

Settings > Company Settings > Financial Year.

If you want to see previous year transactions you can switch your Financial Year under:

Settings > General Settings > Financial Year > change you Financial Year there.

At top right corner, there is an option of Reporting Period. This will help you to view your reports between two dates.

Suppose you want to view your Ledger report for a particular month July then you can set Reporting Period as 1 July 2018 to 31 July 2018.
